User Experience Research, Design & Engineering"H comes before C in HCI"
I am a user experience researcher with academic background in HCI, Human Factors and Computer Science. I come with 4+ years of industry experience across 5 telecom carriers and handset manufacturer in designing innovative services. My recent accomplishments include being a finalist in CHI 2011 Student Design Competition for project 'Cowabunga!', and recognition as a co-inventor in a US patent pending concept related to my Motorola research internship project - 'Family Stories'. Based on my work, a new service called StoryPlace.me has been launched recently as public beta in the Android Market by Motorola. My multi-disciplinary skill-set is complemented by credentials like Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) and Project Management Professional (PMP). This repertoire can add value to any UX team in blending product development visions with real user needs. I am interested in opportunities related to User Experience Research or UX focused Software Engineering.
